EncSummary:

There were late morning reports of whales in the Possession Triangle, so the team geared up and left Shilshole Marina at 1200. We saw our first whales near the bottom of the triangle and the encounter began at 1225. The J37s, J31s, J40, and J36 porpoised past us heading south in a loose group. Other J pod whales were spread out from almost shoreline to shoreline in the Triangle while foraging. The porpoising whales soon slowed down and turned around before they also spread out. For the rest of the afternoon, J pod foraged back and forth throughout the Possession Triangle while we flew the drone and recorded any vocals. The encounter ended at 1555 right in the center of the triangle.
