Off Sidney Island, B.C.

Departed Snug Harbor: 12:01 p.m.
Begin Encounter: 1:17 p.m.
Start Lat: 48° 40.19N
Start Long: 123° 20.14 W
End Encounter: 4:07 p.m.
End Lat: 48° 42.08 N
End Long: 123° 22.54 W
Returned to Snug Harbor: 5:10 p.m.

Center staff encountered T185, T185A, T186, and T187 off Sidney B.C. The whales appeared to be foraging most of the time and at approximately 2:15 they made a kill of an unknown species. There was a large slick with lots of diving gulls and milling whales. Lots of spyhops. The encounter ended just north of Coal Island at 4:07 p.m.
